Business Central

Business Central is a Windows SharePoint Services (WSS 3.0) based document management and collaboration toolset for small to medium businesses (SME's).

The tool is a mixture of software and hardware consisting of:

• Business Central (WSS) core module (various versions available)
• A Hewlett Packard Windows 2003 Server
• A tape based back-up device
• A Xerox Multi-Functional Device (MFD - various versions available)

Business Central is designed for the SME market, enabling them to manage and store their hard copy documents in a safe and secure WSS environment. It has a rich set of functionality for document management, collaboration, accounts management, sales management and people management.

The tool is supplied with dedicated hardware for storing your nominated hard copy documents onto a Windows Server, back up devices to keep your documents safe in the event of hardware failure (or disaster) and a range of MFD's (supplied by our technology partners Xerox) to scan in those documents into the system.

WMC SharePoint provide the installation, configuration and support for the system as a whole, working with their technology partners for the installation and support of the hardware (i.e. all hardware is supplied with standard warranties as supplied by the manufacturer).

Business Central lite

Business Central lite is a 'free product' designed for the SME market, enabling them to manage and store their hard and soft copy documents in a safe and secure WSS environment. Legal Central

Legal Central is a Windows SharePoint Services (WSS 3.0) based document management and collaboration toolset for legal practices. Legal Central integrates with your existing Microsoft Office suite of applications to enable you to manage all of your case documentation and general practice office based administrative functions.

Learning Gateway

What is the Learning Gateway Portal?

The Learning Gateway Portal has been designed by WMC SharePoint to incorporate the Learning Management functionality that Microsoft has introduced for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS).

The concept of the Portal is based upon Teachers, Students and Parents all having some access for the purposes of increased communication, collaboration and Parents visibility of their children's assignments etc. The assignment management functionality within the Portal gives Teachers the ability to design and distribute assignments amongst the students on a class basis or by individual. Each Student can then access that assignment and submit it for marking using the same toolset. Once marked by the Teacher, the assignment score is also made available for both Students and Parents.

Other key features of the Portal include the ability to deliver communications about the school, plan and coordinate learning activities and also utilise the rich set of functional features that MOSS provides around collaboration (Study Groups, BLOGS, WIKIS etc), Discussions, Document and Records Management as well as offering all users their personal web space in the form of their MySite.

Tools

WMC SharePoint are distributors for a number of tools associated with SharePoint / MOSS 2007 implementations including:

• AntiVirus Tools

SharePoint / MOSS 2007 stores content within a SQL database and therefore many of the standard corporate AntiVirus applications do not work effectively within this platform. AntiVirus software of this nature is deployed on the servers within the farm and is not a client based application.

• Back Up and Restore

Organisations deploying SharePoint / MOSS 2007 have to have a proven Back Up and Restore process and 'tools' to support that process. These tools provide the necessary back up and restoring capabilities to meet the typical business requirements in this area, i.e. Site Collection etc

• Usage Analysis and Statistics

The standard application is supplied with its own usage analysis tools. However, most organisations will find this functionality quite limited out of the box and therefore we provide additional tools for giving more in depth analysis and statistical information.

• Migration of Content

We provide a number of tools for content migration into SharePoint / MOSS 2007 from other legacy systems.

• System Monitoring
